Micaiah the Farmacist
Micaiah Hall, also known as the Farmacist, is the originator of Free Haven Farms, one of the few USDA-certified Back farmers in this country. Micaiah has been growing food for his entire life and started making money on a farm in his pre-teens. Motivated to change the health conditions in the Black community, he started to see food as the recurring issue. This was the motivation to Free Haven Educational Farms, established in 2017, to educate the Black community about the truths of the food industry as well as how to grow their own. Free Haven Farms has also provided access to healthy food to communities that traditionally lack access. Micaiah has worked in the school system of Philadelphia over the past 10 years and currently works with urban agriculture initiatives in Camden, NJ.
